Sem and Killarney Golf & Fishing club tee up academy partnership

The very best golfers will tell you that every day on the course is a school day. Now, thanks to a new initiative by the men’s section of Killarney Golf & Fishing Club, students at St Brendan’s College are about to find that out for themselves.
Officials at the famous Killarney golf club were delighted to announce this week that students at St Brendan's College are to be schooled at the Killarney Golf Academy at Lackabane.
The innovative golf programme will see club professional Mark Heinemann providing a series of lessons to the Sem’s senior and junior golf teams. This new partnership is taking place at a great time for St Brendan’s, who will be participating in the National Schools competition in Newcastle West Golf Club in March.
It is hoped that this new arrangement between Killarney Golf & Fishing Club and the Sem will help to develop and nurture new golfing talent in the greater Killarney area.
