Young writers dive into the world of rubber ducks

A group of young writers from the Story Sanctuary workshop have taken their imaginations for a splash, crafting entertaining tales about the lives of rubber ducks.
The workshop, hosted by Sorcha Trant, invited the children to choose a duck from the Killarney Duck Store and then weave their own unique stories around their quacky companions.
The resulting tales were as diverse as the ducks themselves.
From a cow-duck named Cowfinda to a squeaky clean duck who feared drowning, the children's imaginations ran wild.
There was a roguish duck named Billy Bob Joe who irritated his nemesis, Mr. Bacon, and a rags-to-riches story about a sparkly duck that was just out of reach.
One duck even travelled all the way from Osaka, Japan, to end up in the hands of a little pigtailed girl.
The children's creativity and enthusiasm were on full display during the workshop, and their stories were a testament to their imagination and storytelling skills.
A prize-giving ceremony took place on Sunday last where the young writers were celebrated for their imaginative tales.
