Soccer tournament in memory of Stephen
T
THE annual soccer tournament in memory of Stephen Lyne takes place today, December 27, in Killarney Celtic Park. This is the second year of the tournament, which is held in aid of the Stephen Lyne Foundation.
Stephen’s parents, family and friends are looking forward to hosting the event. “Both myself and Denis are delighted with the idea of a perpetual cup in memory of Stephen as Stephen was a skilled soccer player who was able to dribble a ball from the minute he could walk!” said his mother Lotte. “One of the last projects he was involved with before he died was the organisation a soccer tournament for charity.”
