Kerry Cancer Support Group were presented with a cheque worth €4,285 from Tricel Ireland on Thursday. The funds raised were the result of the varied efforts made by the company’s staff.
“We did all kinds of things towards the fundraising from holding BBQs, raffles, a Christmas jumper day, and even having a swear box,” said Sarah McArdle, Marketing Manager at Tricel said.
“There was a great team spirit this year for raising the money, and it was also fun to do at the same time.”
It is the 10th year that Tricel’s staff have raised funds for the benefit of local charities, as each year they choose a different one to support.
Breda Dyland, Manager of the Kerry Cancer Support Group, was delighted with the amount collected.
“I’d like to thank all the people at Tricel for their brilliant work in raising the money needed, as it will go a long way towards the charity’s aim of getting a new bus.”
