Pedal for Grace is back for its second year
The National Council for the Blind has announced that the Pedal for Grace cycle event is returning to Firies on September 9.
Grace O’Sullivan is 13-years old and she has a visual impairment called Stargardt disease, which causes progressive sight loss.
Last year’s Pedal for Grace was a huge success and young Grace O’Sullivan and her family, friends and local community raised more than €25,000 for the organisation.
Grace’s mother Mary O’Sullivan said: “We couldn’t have been happier with how the Pedal for Grace went last year and it was all because of the help from the lovely people in our local community and beyond. This year with we’re back with a bang and we hope that those who had fun with us last year will do the same again this year. We would also love to welcome any new friends who want to take part. This event is for everyone.”
The event will kick will be based at the Firies Community Centre and registration will open at 830am on the day.
