Killarney Cinema will reopen tonight (Friday) for the first time since March 12.
To celebrate, the popular East Avenue venue will show several films that feature local Hollywood stars.
These include Jesse Buckley’s ‘Miss Behaviour’, and ‘Calm With Horses’ that was produced by Michael Fassbender. Both will be shown at the prime time of 8pm tonight and tomorrow (Saturday) respectively.
Buckley’s 'Miss Behaviour', a comedy spoof on the Miss World competition, will be one of the first movies screened at Killarney Cinema in over five months.
Fassbender gets the prime slot tomorrow, when ‘Calm With Horses’ a gangster movie set in the west of Ireland, is screened at 8pm.
New rules mean each cinema theatre is limited to 50 patrons and all ticket sales must be made online and ahead of a performance for contact tracing purposes.
“If there is demand I will do more of these kind of nights,” owner Tommy Cooper told the Killarney Advertiser.
