Half a million Lotto prize remains unclaimed
O
One week after a Fossa shop sold a €500,000 Euromillions winning ticketthe claimant has yet to step forward.
The winning Euromillions Plus ticket was sold in Foley’s Spar ahead of last Friday’s draw.
The National Lottery is urging Kerry people to check their tickets.
The shop, situated on the busy Ring of Kerry road, is beside the Liebherr Container Cranes factory and across the road from Killarney Golf Club.
Management at the shop say they hope the winner is local.
“The is great excitement around but no one has claimed it yet,” shop manager Brid Anne Carey told the Killarney Advertiser. “There are a few syndicates in the factory but they would surely have come forward by now. We have a lot of passing trade but I do hope its local. The shop has been very busy since the news with locals coming in checking their tickets.”
Back in 2013 the same shop sold a €250,000 National Lottery ticket but it was never claimed and the winnings were returned to the National Lottery’s central fund.
The winning numbers were 17, 31, 37, 40, 46.
