A CHANCE to make a difference and show your pride in your town’s appearance will be on offer this evening. The mighty Monday meitheal will be out in force to ensure the roundabout on Park Road, in front of Daly’s SuperValu and Hotel Killarney, looks its absolute best.
All are welcome to take part, with the group meeting and parking at the old Pretty Polly factory at 6.30pm.
The soaring temperatures last Monday failed to deter the determined group who took on Killarney Tidy Town’s “Pike Hill Challenge” with aplomb.
Seventeen hardworking volunteers ensured the appearance a major approach road to the town underwent a real facelift. “Considering that it was real barbecue weather, it is testament to the commitment for our volunteers that they showed up in the boiling heat to put the edge on the approach road to our town,” said Johnny McGuire of Killarney Tidy Towns.
“Great work was done on the night and the appearance of the approach road from Cork is in far better condition.”
