Try your hand at writing with Dóchas Drama Group
It’s a new year, a new decade, a new month – time for renewal, resolutions and recovery so why not try your hand at writing!
Dóchas Drama Group will give you the opportunity to think about such things if you come along to the production of some new 10 Minute Plays in Killarney Avenue Hotel this month.
Killarney Avenue Hotel is the place to be on Monday January 20, Tuesday 21, Wednesday 22 or Thursday 23, at 8pm nightly.
Last year’s production of new writing proved to be very popular with audiences and the new scripts should be of similar interest, explained Mary Murphy from the group.
“These shorter pieces also give the opportunity to include more members on stage and is especially valuable in introducing new actors. It is also a showcase for local writers as well as some from further afield. You will see pieces from local writers such as Brian Bowler, Mary McCarthy, Liz Ryan and Michael Mills, along with more pieces from Scott Mullen and Sadie Delaney.
18 actors, some on stage with Dóchas for the first time will present a varied programme which is guaranteed to entertain.”
Admission is €10 at the door.
