THE Gleneagle Concert Band has launched a new website www.GleneagleConcerntBand.ie The user-friendly website contains information on the history of the band as well as a gallery of images from various band performances over the past 35 years.

It also offers information on how to enrol students in The Gleneagle School of Music and how to avail of the loaned instruments scheme. “We are delighted to launch our new band website,” said band conducted Vincent Condon. “We hope it will enable us to forge closer ties with communities throughout Kerry and lead to new collaborations for the band both nationally and internationally. The website is both interesting and informative and will allow the general public to stay in tune with all the band’s news, concerts and events.”

As well as performing at a number of national events over the coming year, the band are also preparing for a tour of the South of France where they will perform two concerts alongside The Blarney Brass and Reed Band. This will be the band’s sixth international tour having already visited Holland, Germany, Austria, France and Portugal.

The Gleneagle Concert Band and School of Music are currently enrolling new students for September 2016. Children aged nine upwards are welcome to enrol.

High quality instruments are supplied free of charge on a first come first served basis. Individual instrumentals lessons and music theory classes are provided by specialised professionally qualified teachers on clarinet, flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, drums/percussion, singing and piano.
