Search for missing climber on Carrauntoohil

MISSION: Kerry Mountain Rescue were tasked to Carrauntoohil in the early hours of Thursday morning in a bid to locate a missing person.

Valentia Coast Guard station is currently assisting Gardai and Kerry Mountain Rescue after a climber was reported missing on Carrauntoohil.
The emergency services were deployed to the mountain in the early hours of the morning.
Helicopter Rescue 177 has also been tasked to the area in an effort to find the missing person.
“This is a Garda incident as it's classed as a missing person," a Valentia Coast Guard Station spokesperson told the Killarney Advertiser. “We are tasked with assisting the operation.”
This search comes less than 12 hours after another casualty was airlifted from Carrauntoohil on Wednesday evening and brought University Hospital Kerry.
