Rugby Club launch ‘Sponsor a Sod’ campaign
K
Killarney RFC launched their Sponsor a Sod campaign last Tuesday at Aghadoe with the help of Ireland Ladies captain Ciara Griffin. The club is actively seeking sponsors for each virtual square metre of their main pitch to support the development of improved drainage on their main and minis pitches.
Funds raised will enable the club to start the works immediately to ensure they have good and safe playing surfaces come September.
The Sponsor a Sod campaign will also supplement the Sports Capital Grant funding received from the government. Each square metre costs €25, or you can sponsor five for €100. Everyone who opts to sponsor five or more sods will go into a draw for super prizes, including tickets for one of Ireland's Autumn Internationals (which feature world champions New Zealand) this November!
You can sponsor a virtual sod online at https://www.krfc.club/sponsor-a-sod/
Tickets are available to purchase from any club member and we would appeal to all club members, supporters, players and parents to support this vital fundraiser.
