Remembered on his birthday
T
The family and friends of popular Gneeveguilla native Ian O’Riordan, who died by suicide in 2013, have raised a massive €6,265 for Southwest Counselling.
Ian’s family and friends got together this time last year and organised a 5km walk on what would have been his 21st birthday. They decided to wait until today, his 22nd birthday, to release photos of the cheque presentation.
“We were delighted and overwhelmed with the support we received,” said Ian’s mother, Eileen. “Our hearts will forever be broken but to mark Ian’s special day and to aid Southwest Counselling was very important to us.”
