Red alert for Kerry as Storm Eunice upgraded
Both Kerry and Cork have been placed on a severe weather alert as tomorrow’s storm has been upgraded to Red status.
From 3am tonight and tomorrow (Friday) morning Storm Eunice will track quickly over Ireland bringing severe and damaging winds.
Southwest winds veering northwest will reach mean speeds in excess of 80 km/h with gusts in excess of 130 km/h. There’ll also be some coastal flooding, especially at high tide.
The Red warning will remain in place until 8am tomorrow and will downgrade to Orange until 11am.
