Panto going strong six decades later!
By Michelle Crean
For six decades they've kept the public laughing and now they're ready to do it all again!
Killorglin Panto Group's 60th production is 'The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe' and will be staged from tomorrow Saturday (January 21).
Will you be going? Oh yes you will!
When the local CYMS organised a fundraising pantomime 'Snow White and the Seven Cromane Men' in 1958, little did they realise that this tradition would still be alive and well in Killorglin 60 years later.
"This is the longest running panto in Munster and a show not to be missed," Geraldine O’Sullivan, Killorglin Panto PRO, said.
"The cast have been rehearsing since October and no stone has been left unturned to bring their magical show to the stage."
Producer and Dame, Declan Mangan says he is privileged to have been involved in all 60 productions.
Being the 60th show, the cast and crew are hoping for big attendance. They have made it easier this year to book your tickets with three options; online by clicking on the following link universe.com/users/killorglin-panto-TKH1C7; face to face by calling the booking office located at the KCYMS Hall or by telephone on 066 9790961."
Follow the cast on Facebook and Instagram as they put the final preparations to their big show.
