Muckross Rowing Club excels at Classic Regatta
Muckross Rowing Club achieved success at the Rowing Ireland 1K Classic Regatta held last weekend in Lough Rynn, Leitrim.
This national event brought together over 1000 competitors across the Junior 13, 14, 15, and Masters age groups.
Muckross crews secured nine gold medals, four second-place finishes, and six third-place positions.
Race wins included the Women's J14 Quad, Women's J14 Double, Men's J14 Single, Women's J13 Octuple, Men's Masters Eight (composite), Mixed Masters Eight (composite), Mixed J13 Octuple, Men's J13 Octuple, and Women's J13 Quad.
The club's strong performance placed Muckross ninth overall among the 36 clubs competing.
The club is currently in the peak of its regatta season, with sprint racing scheduled for Fermoy Regatta this Sunday, followed by the Irish Championship Regatta in Cork next weekend.
