Man arrested following attempted armed robbery in New St
Gardaí have arrested a man, aged in his 30s, in connection with the attempted armed robbery of a premises in New Street.
The incident took place in Killarney town on Friday morning last (February 18) at approximately 10.30am.
One man entered the business premises armed with a shotgun and demanded money and threatened the staff. He left the scene with nothing and was driven away in a black Toyota car.
He is currently detained at Killarney Garda Station and investigations are ongoing.
