Killarney gets a new hobby shop

A dedicated board game and collectible shop finally opens in Killarney.
The Guild Hall, opened in July by Killarney man Robert O’Neill, brings his passion and almost 20 years of expertise in the field to gamers and enthusiasts in the heart of our town.
After years of managing another well-known gaming and electronics store in Killarney, Robert decided to go it alone and create his own space to bring his passions to Killarney in a safe and friendly environment for beginners and veterans alike.
It brings something fresh to the town’s entertainment scene, with a huge space on New Market Lane for people to come in, rent a table and either play your own board games or pick one off the shelf.
There is a focus on encouraging new faces to engage in hobbies that you might have never expected to be interested in, and while Warhammer might seem incredibly daunting, there are often exhibition games to show off the games rule-set and questions are welcomed.
Not only that, but the store has started hosting officially sponsored events by the companies that own the properties, such as a very recent Warhammer model painting event which was completely sponsored by Games Workshop, which had the store packed out as people from all over Killarney, painting models supplied by The Guild Hall for free.
