Local pupils were very happy to spring into action as part of their Green Schools/An Taisce Spring Clean Up Day in Kilcummin National School.

Like the Scoot on a Weekday that they participated in last month, this was yet another excellent Green Schools initiative led by the schools Green Schools Committee.

"We are delighted that the whole school is afforded the opportunity to participate again in the National Spring Clean Up this year, as we engage in efforts to keep Kilcummin looking good," school principal Gillian Sheehan said.

"Each class has been designated a location in and around the village of Kilcummin and our cleaning efforts will continue again. A special word of thanks to John Moriarty and all at the Rural Development Office for their support. Well done to the Green Schools committee, the pupils and staff of Kilcummin NS on a wonderful clean up! Maith sibh go léir!"
