Kerry Gardai self-isolating after positive COVID test
A number of Kerry Gardai who attended a training course in Killarney are self-isolating following the confirmation of a positive COVID-19 test.
The garda members took the precautionary measures after they had attended an outdoors training course at a venue in Killarney on Friday, October 2.
It’s understood that they had also attended an indoors part of the course at a different venue outside of Killarney town.
All safety protocols at the training event, including social distancing, hand sanitising, and face coverings were strictly adhered to.
Although it’s unknown how many gardai are self-isolating operations such as ‘Operation Fanacht’ are not affected.
