Kerry Forest fans fantastic fundraising
A cheque for e8000, the proceeds of the Nottingham Forest Supporters Club Munster Branch recently held Charity Dinner Dance in The Manor Inn, Killorglin, was handed over to the two chosen charities this week. Both the Killorglin &District Mental Health Association and The Alzheimer Society of Ireland were given e4000 each.
On behalf of the Munster Forest branch Gearoid Lynch said they were delighted to be able give such a sizable sum to each charity after the night which was a huge success.
"We thank everyone who supported the night in any way and are especially grateful for the Forest legends who attended on the night - Colin Barrett, John O’Hare, Tommy Gaynor, Andy Reid and Brendan Moloney. Former Kerry players Liam Hassett and Mike Frank Russell were also in attendance".
The cheques were made at the Rosemary Day Centre in Caherslee, Tralee to Kay McNamara and Josephine Molyneaux from the Alzheimer Society and to Liam Hassett Chairman of Killorglin & District Mental Health Association. In attendance from the branch were Munster Forest members Gearoid Lynch, Theresa Lynch, Mike Hurley, Brian Hurley, Dermot Moynihan and Ben the dog!”
