Jessie set for big screen in new horror movie

By Michelle Crean
Killarney actress Jessie Buckley is set to hit the big screens across Irish cinemas on June 3 in new horror 'Men' which will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
The Oscar nominated actress, who also recently received an Olivier Award for her role in 'The Lost Daughter', plays a key role starring as widow Harper whose husband died tragically.
Filled with emotion, fear and regret, Harper retreats alone to the English countryside seeking peace after witnessing a shocking tragedy - but the one hour 40 minute long Horror/Drama, written and directed by Alex Garland, is far from serene.
Someone or something from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her as she continuously witnesses numerous men, all played by Rory Kinnear, who appear to look alike.
Soon Harper's dread becomes a fully formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears.
In the United States and Canada, 'Men' was released alongside 'Downton Abbey: A New Era', and made $1.4 million on its first day. It went on to debut to $3.3 million, finishing fifth at the box office.
It has also received generally positive reviews from critics.
