A local hotel is focused on helping other less fortunate this Christmas and are appealing to the public to help.

As a way to spread some festive cheer the staff at the Killarney Royal have joined forces with Focus Ireland to support homeless families in Munster with a gift-box appeal.

The hotel is now reaching out to families and schools to donate new gifts such as toys, books and pyjamas for boys and girls who are aged 0-12 years to fill as many gift-boxes as possible.

"Join the team at Killarney Royal along with your family on Saturday, December 3 to drop off your gift to our team in the hotel lobby," Roisin O’Sullivan, Operations Manager at the Killarney Royal, said.

"Afterwards you can enjoy some hot chocolate, festive treats and the children can also meet Santa and the Elves around 2pm."

If you would like to get involved, please drop off your gift to Killarney Royal on Saturday December 3, 12.30 - 2pm.

"Please note that all gifts must be new. We look forwarding to welcoming you."
