The 29th annual charity Lough Lein Anglers fly-fishing competition has been launched on the shores of Lough Lein, Killarney, and will be held on Sunday, April 17.
This year’s chosen beneficiary is the Killarney/South Kerry Branch of the Irish Cancer Society. “The society provides vital support and back-up services to patients and families affected by cancer,” said organiser Timo O’Sullivan.
The competition is held in association with sponsor Lee Strand and to date the annual charity fly-fishing event has raised in excess of €200,000 for local charities.
