Garda clampdown on unlicensed firearms holders

GARDAI are warning firearms holders to renew their firearms certificates as they risk having their firearms seized and face prosecution if found in possession of unlicensed firearms.
Killarney Gardai have written to a number of firearms holders and advised them to renew their firearms certificates. "Gardaí will be stepping up their campaign in the coming weeks to ensure all legally held firearms are fully licensed and a Garda spokesperson has not ruled out prosecutions in the matter," according to a statement from Killarney Garda Station.
