Fossa girls win silver at Community Games
A group of five talented young girls from Fossa National School in Kerry have brought home a silver medal from the National Community Games.
Amelia O'Shea, Aoibheann Moloney, Dearbhla Kiely, Emily Kavanagh, and Jennifer Lynch represented Kerry in the Group Singing Under 12 category at the competition held in Carlow last weekend.
The girls performed the songs ‘Maybe’ and ‘Never Fully Dressed’ from the musical ‘Annie’ and secured second place.
They have worked extremely hard over the last number of months on their songs and performance and they were absolutely delighted with winning a medal,” said Aisling Fitzgerald, Amelia’s mother. “They thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.”
