Local man Ben Quinlan, a previous contestant of the X Factor is raising awareness and funds for the homeless with his own concert in March.
Also Ireland's Alternative Eurovision winner, Ben is launching his debut album at his first concert ‘A Night To Remember – Magical’ at The Friary Church Killarney, on March 13, at 7pm. All proceeds are going to homeless shelters in Ireland.
Ben will be performing his originals and soulful songs accompanied by a drummer and a guitarist.
“I’ve been in the process of developing music for a long time,” Ben told the Killarney Advertiser.
“The main song in the album is actually the one which won the alternative Eurovision competition. The songs will be different from pop, rock and ballads. There’ll be some traditional Irish music mixed with something more modern as well. I like the combination and there’s a lot of experimenting involved.”
It’s a healing album for the people and humanity, he added.
“It’s very important that people buy tickets to help the homeless and bring awareness for a good cause.”
