FleskFest hailed a success
Organisers of the the Glenflesk FleskFest, which took place on Saturday, have paid tribute to the large amount of local volunteers that made the event happen.
Attending visitors to the festival were treated to a full day of family fun, music and even rides on Harley Davidson motorcycles.
“A huge thank you to the huge crowd who turned up and supported this great event a real showing of community spirit. Thanks to all the volunteers who put in huge shifts, cooking, selling tickets, setting up and tidying up,” said Seamus Healy of the organising committee.
“Thanks to top class entertainers ‘Super Ceili’ and ‘All Folked Up’ and our own top DJ Gav Kelly who did a great job as M.C. and DJ. Thanks to Lucey Transport for providing their truck for the stage. Thanks to everyone who sponsored and donated great prizes for raffles and thanks Johnny Merry O’Sullivan for kindly treating so many people to free spins on his Harley Davidson. And a huge thank you to Don O Leary, The Kerryway Steakhouse and Bar for the use of his magnificent premises. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year.”
