Crazy colourful sock day at Tiernaboul NS

COLOURFUL: Pupils from Tiernaboul NS wore colourful socks to school on Tuesday as part of World Down Syndrome Day.
It was all about the colourful socks on Tuesday as staff and pupils wore their craziest creations to school.
March 21 was World Down Syndrome Day and they didn't disappoint in Tiernaboul NS.
It was all in aid of a very good cause and the whole school community embraced the #LotsOfSocks campaign on the day, Principal Maria Breen explained.
"By wearing their craziest matching and mismatched socks, they hoped to raise awareness of Down Syndrome on World Down Syndrome Day and also raise some much needed funds for Down Syndrome Kerry."
At the time of going to press, this small school community with a big heart had raised over €375 for Down Syndrome Kerry.
