Comprehensive review of Christmas in Killarney planned

A very comprehensive review of Christmas in Killarney 2018 - understood to be one of the most successful festive seasons in the town for many years - is being undertaken by Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce.
An open business meeting to examine and reflect on how the town fared in the lead-up to, during and immediately after Christmas has been planned for the Killarney Avenue Hotel on Wednesday next, January 23, with a 6.15pm meeting time for a 6.30pm start.
Killarney was particularly busy during Christmas, thanks mainly to the top class programme of events lined up for the Christmas in Killarney Festival, major retail promotions and festive-themed community events with revellers flocking to the town to avail of seasonal offers in local hotels and guesthouses and the hugely popular Dine in Killarney promotion.
Next Wednesday night’s meeting will reflect on the season in significant detail with a number of business interests lined up to share their experiences and statistics for the season.
The speakers will include Kate O’Leary of the Christmas in Killarney Festival, Anthony Walsh of the Chamber’s Retail Group, Shane O’Driscoll of the INEC, Laura Tangney of Killarney Sleigh Rides, Tim O’Donoghue of Killarney on Ice and Niamh O’Shea of the Kerry branch of the Irish Hotels Federation.
The free of charge meeting is open to everybody in Killarney and a very informative event is guaranteed.
