Kerry football star David Clifford has leant his support to a new charity walk that will help raise awareness of organ donation.
The local branch of the Irish Kidney Association (IKA) is organising the walk in Killarney National Park on March 15.
Three different routes are on offer to suit people of all abilities, a stroll near Muckross House, a walk from Muckross to Dinish, or a hike to Torc Mountain.
“Kerry footballers have always supported carrying a donor card and we are delighted to welcome David Clifford’s support this year,” Theresa Looney from IKA told the Killarney Advertiser.
“Sport and healthy living go hand in hand. This is a new walk for us, the three routes will suit everyone, families with buggies can do the stroll while toughies can climb the mountain.”
Registration will get underway at 9.30am at the Muckross Park Hotel, entry fees are set at €20 for adults and €30 for families.
