Alan MacDonald sets sights on Killarney
W
With his experience alongside Michelin Star chefs, having climbed the ladder from kitchen porter to Executive Chef in fine dining establishments, Celtic Whiskey Bar & Larder have welcomed Chef Alan MacDonald into the fold.
MacDonald promises to bring new flavours to the Kingdom, drawing on inspiration from his culinary adventures across France, Azerbaijan, Spain, Moscow and, of course, his native Scotland. However, Alan — in keeping with our concept here at the Celtic Whiskey Bar & Larder — is committed to supporting local produce, ensuring freshness and honouring tradition. MacDonald has been meeting with suppliers and has done quite an impressive amount of taste-testing, all to benefit the creation of a new menu, he promises.
Having led such a travelled life, we take it as a great compliment that Alan wished to settle down here in Killarney. It was his first-choice destination and he assures us that the welcome has been even warmer than expected.
We can’t wait to see what he’s got in store, and we hope you can’t either. Watch this space!
