A chocolate factory for Killarney?

Killarney could have its own chocolate factory after a planning application to build convert an existing premises on Bohereencael near the Glebe Car Park was lodged.
The people behind the Dunloe Lodge on College St have submitted a planning application to Kerry County Council seeking permission for a number of alterations to a building on the town centre lane.
The proposed development includes converting parts of the first and second floors from residential accommodation into areas for chocolate product preparation.
The ground floor will also see changes, with plans for a new advertising sign and alterations to the wheelchair accessible toilet in the café area.
The application also seeks permission for external changes to the building, including alterations to the elevation and raising part of the roof at second floor level.
If approved, the expansion will create a new space for visitors to experience chocolate making demonstrations.
