RTÉ’s ‘Up For The Match’, traditionally broadcast live on the eve of an All-Ireland final, will feature David Clifford’s home club next week.
Excitement is mounting as Fossa GAA Club are expecting the arrival of a TV crew next Thursday morning (August 22), when they will pre-record material for the August 31 television show.
RTE have taken an interest in the club following the rise of David Clifford who is the first member of the club to play senior football with the county team.
The crew will interview some of the club officials to the background of some under-age demonstration games.
“The production team decide which clubs they want to visit and they decided that they wanted to film David Clifford’s home club,” Leona Twiss, PRO of the Kerry County Board, told the Killarney Advertiser. “It is great for David, his family and his club.”
The programme, which airs the night before the big match, is presented by Des Cahill and Jacqui Hurley.
