Killarney will host a night of professional wrestling when the Stars of American Wrestling return to the Sports and Leisure Centre on Saturday, August 16 at 7pm.

The show, organised by Grand Slam Wrestling, promises a full night of family-friendly action, drama and entertainment with heavyweight matches, high-flying cruiserweights and a packed line-up of characters.
One of the main attractions this year will be Kerry man Dean Power. The local wrestler has been building his name on the independent circuit across Ireland and the UK and now gets the chance to perform on a big stage in front of his home crowd.
Power, who grew up watching WWE stars like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin, trained in Munster and has worked his way through the ranks to earn a spot on the Killarney card.
He says he’s ready to put on the performance of a lifetime for the local fans.
Also confirmed to appear is Brody Steele, the current Grand Slam Heavyweight Champion. The American bruiser is known for his size, strength and no-nonsense style and has promised to dominate whoever steps into the ring with him.
Tickets are €15 and available now at Eventbrite.ie. A limited number may be available at the door. A backstage pass, available at the venue, will give fans the chance to meet the wrestlers after the show.

The event, presented by the Muckross House Research Library on behalf of the Trustees, featured performances by world-famous tin whistle player Mary Bergin, master harper Kathleen Loughnane, and fiddle and bouzouki player Mick Conneely.
The evening included a repertoire of jigs, reels, and slow airs. During the performance, Kathleen Loughnane shared historical insights into the Belfast Harp Festival of 1792, where Edward Bunting recorded ancient tunes to preserve them. She also highlighted the story of a North Kerry man named Lyons who served as the harper to Lord Antrim.
Former Mayor of Killarney, Michael Gleeson, was among the attendees and praised the event for its informative and enjoyable atmosphere. He noted that the music helped dispel the gloom of recent weather and extended his thanks to Patricia and the organizing team.
The performers brought distinguished backgrounds to the Killarney stage. Mary Bergin, originally from Dublin and now living in Connemara, received an Honorary Doctorate from UCD in 2022. Kathleen Loughnane, a native of
