The people behind the Dunloe Lodge on College St have submitted a planning application to Kerry County Council seeking permission for a number of alterations to a building on the town centre lane.
The proposed development includes converting parts of the first and second floors from residential accommodation into areas for chocolate product preparation.
The ground floor will also see changes, with plans for a new advertising sign and alterations to the wheelchair accessible toilet in the café area.
