The amazing work carried out by dedicated Killarney Meitheal volunteers will feature on RTE’s Nationwide this Friday at 7.00pm.

Men’s shed members from across Ireland descended upon Killarney National Park to tackle the scourge of invasive rhododendron.
The initiative saw Men’s shed members throughout Ireland travelling to Killarney to volunteer with the local Killarney Meitheal volunteers at the invitation of the Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS).

Supported by Flogas, official energy partner of the Irish Men's Sheds Association. they worked together over two days to help clear the rhododendron at Abbey Wood, Muckross. The invasive species continues to pose a serious threat to native flora and fauna in the Killarney National Park.
