Donations received will be used to provide food hampers for families in need in the Killarney area.
Transition Year students from Killarney’s three secondary schools have already supported the Food Appeal by raising money through activities such as a bake sale, no uniform day and Christmas markets. They are also helping to prepare the hampers along with Lions Club volunteers.
“Our Food Appeal has been running for many years and is always very generously supported by the people of Killarney. The Transition Year students have also been amazing,” President of Killarney Lions Club, Denis Doolan, said.
“We are very grateful for that support, which will be more important than ever given the cost of living crisis facing many families this year.”
