Killarney man is Bus Éireann’s Apprentice of the Year

Gavin O’Sullivan from Killarney named in Bus Éireann’s Southern region Apprentice of the Year.
He is a fourth year apprentice mechanic based in Tralee Bus Garage.
Gavin was praised for his excellent performance, talent and collaboration in his role as apprentice with Bus Éireann.
Ireland’s national bus company, has celebrated its employees’ achievements in 2022 at the regional annual Go the Extra Mile Awards, which recognise excellent customer service, community impact, performance and forward-thinking.
Awards were issued in a number of different categories including Driver of the Year, Depot of the Year, Supervisor of the Year and Apprentice of the Year.
"I am incredibly proud of our team of committed and dedicated employees in the Southern Region who ‘go the extra mile’ for our customers every day,” said Aled Williams, Bus Éireann Senior Operations Manager, South. “I would especially like to recognise Gavin O’Sullivan who has been awarded Apprentice of the Year for his demonstration of Bus Éireann’s core values. We recognise his ongoing commitment to colleagues and customers alike."
Winners of each region will go forward to the Bus Éireann National GEM awards on the December 8 in Dublin.
