Fundraiser in memory of Mary ‘The Baker’ O’Sullivan

The family of well-known Killarney woman Mary 'The Baker' O’Sullivan raised nearly €3,000 in her memory for the Kerry Hospice Foundation.
Originally from Rylane in Cork, Mary spent most of her working life in Margaret Fleming’s Café on College St.
She never forgot her Cork roots and would often return home to spent time with nieces and nephews.
Mary passed away this time last year after a short illness and her Cork-based family wanted to remember her and thank the hospice.
Her niece Ann Kelleher and her nephew Thomas Byrne climbed Carrantouhill, while her grandnephew Josh Healy sold some of his toy tractor collection.
“We also organised a cake sale and raffle which were a great success.” Ann said. “Thanks to the Rylane and Aghabullogue communities for their support.”
The family presented a cheque for €2.719.30 to the Kerry Hospice Foundation earlier this week.
