Glycolic peels are amazing professional facials that use medical grade glycolic acid and salicylic acid combined to help remove dead cells to the deepest level.

.

They really have amazing benefits from removing dull, damaged layers. It will also address skin concerns like hyperpigmentation, photoaging, scars, uneven skin tone, fine lines, wrinkles and helps clear up acne. A consultation is done before this treatment is started, to see what your main concerns are. It's tailored to suit each individual client. It's not a relaxing facial but more of a treatment that works on specific concerns.

These are a great chemical peel for men's skin also. You do not shave or wax at least 48hrs before treatment and you should not expose your skin to UV light one week before treatment and one week after.

The facial will start off with a cleansing and toning process, followed by the glycolic acid being applied to your face and neck with a brush. Your therapist will be wearing gloves. The glycolic is left to work from five to 15 minutes, however all skin types can take it at different lengths of time. It may feel tingly or hot on the skin but it's completely safe. It's then neutralised and the steamer is applied to thicker skin types. This helps to really release the blackheads from the skin. They will be given an extra nudge to release them. Blackheads are usually characterised by red pimples in younger skin and caused by the inflammation of the sebaceous glands that may have a bacterial infection. Nobody likes the look of blackheads and this is a great facial to help remove them. This is why it is so important to wash your skin thoroughly at home, but be aware to remove all your facewash product also as this can cause problems in itself. People tend to be very good at washing the larger areas of their face, cheeks, neck and forehead, but simply miss the crevasses of the nose or under the bottom lip.

So, if you're looking for an amazing results driven facial treatment this is defiantly the one for you and it's suitable for both men and women.

The long-awaited Beaufort Wastewater Scheme has taken a significant step forward following the Government’s decision to increaseproject funding to €7 million.

The uplift forms part of an additional €14.3 million announced under Measure A8 of the Multi-annual Rural Water Programme, supporting seven rural wastewater projects nationwide.
Fianna Fáil TD Michael Cahill welcomed the increase, saying the funding is “most welcome and long overdue,” but added that the project now needs to move ahead without further delay.
Minister Michael Healy-Rae also acknowledged the progress, stating, “This is a hugely important step forward for Beaufort,” and said he will continue pushing for delivery.
Deputy Danny Healy-Rae said the upgrade is essential for the village, noting, “Beaufort has waited long enough.”
The enhanced funding allows the scheme to proceed to the next stage, with all parties calling for construction to begin as soon as possible.

Killarney Musical Society’s upcoming production of ‘All Shook Up’ will feature multiple generations of three different families performing side by side.

The show will run from February 10 to 12 in the Gleneagle Arena. Tickets for the highly anticipated show are on sale now.
Music is well known to bring people of all ages together, and this is clearly evident within the Killarney Musical Society, where several families are sharing the stage this year.
The Spillane/Murray family boasts three generations in the production. Phil Spillane has been an active member since she joined KMS in September 1989.
This year, she performs alongside her daughter Amanda and her granddaughter Caoimhe, who is playing the character Lorraine. All three agree they are having great fun practising dance steps and harmonies together and will treasure this time forever.
Mother and daughter Annie and Alannah McIlroy are taking the stage together for the first time. Annie appeared in the 2023 production of Michael Collins, while Alannah joined the cast last year for Evita. They state that the best part of performing together is the quality time they share, not just during rehearsals but on the journeys to and from them, as both share a deep love for musicals.
Finally, the mother and daughter pair of Linda and Eilise O’Donoghue continue a family tradition. While Linda’s father was involved with KMS back in 1986, Linda herself joined in 2015 after being persuaded by her daughter Eilise, who has been a member since 2012. Before each performance, the two rely on each other: Eilise checks Linda’s hair and makeup, while Linda makes sure Eilise’s costume is perfect. They also enjoy practising their alto lines together, making the experience especially meaningful.
The society looks forward to welcoming audiences to the Gleneagle Arena for the three-night run of ‘All Shook Up’ next February.
