“Cool” new shop opens on Park Place
By Sean Moriarty
A new Polish food-store that opened in Killarney this week will be a “cool” addition to the town’s retail offering.
Mróz Exclusive opened to the general public at Park Place on Wednesday but the official opening will take place tomorrow (Saturday), where a day of family fun, including an outdoor barbecue, is planned by staff.
Mróz – the Polish word for frost or coolness – already operates three stores in Dublin, but this is the first branch outside the capital.
A truck will arrive twice a week from Poland to deliver a large range of Eastern European foods but fresh meats and vegetables will be sourced locally.
“It will be mostly Polish food for now, but the Irish people can come too and will love our stuff,” Manager Bartek Świgoda told the Killarney Advertiser. “On Saturday we will have attractions and open with a big boom!”
A draw will run until the end of September – each receipt for over €50 will be entered in a raffle for amazing prizes like a 65 inch smart television, an electric scooter, a coffee machine and more.
Mróz Exclusive is open from 9am to 8pm seven days a week.
