Dreams come true as soccer star’s jersey arrives
&
Republic of Ireland soccer star Shane Duffy honoured his promise to Kilcummin soccer fan Brian O’Sullivan – as his jersey from the recent Euro 2020 qualifier against Denmark arrived in the post this week.
Brian (11) and his pal Sean Cox attended the match in Copenhagen with their respective fathers, Ulick and Tom.
Sean was lucky enough to secure his hero James McClean’s jersey after the game - but Brian missed out.
However, a chance meeting with Duffy after the game resulted in the Derry native making a promise that he would send his jersey to Kilcummin and it arrived - much to the delight of Brian.
“It finally arrived on Tuesday,” his mother Maura told the Killarney Advertiser. “He was so excited he could not wait to get to school that day and show his friends.”
