Four new state-of-the-art staff accommodation blocks - which cost a total of €3m to build - are ready to open for the summer season.
Killarney Hotels this week announced the news that the two-story accommodation blocks, which each contain 10 bedrooms, living quarters, terraces and extensive planting to enhance the surroundings, at the five-star Europe Hotel & Resort in Killarney, are ready for use, complementing the existing staff accommodation facility at the hotel.
Killarney Hotels has always offered staff accommodation at all of their three properties, The Europe Hotel & Resort, The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens, and Ard na Sidhe Country House, and this additional construction demonstrates the ongoing commitment of the Liebherr family to the Killarney region, explained Michael Brennan, Managing Director of Killarney Hotels.
“We are proud of our commitment to the comfort and well-being of our team and with the shortage of rental accommodation on offer in Killarney we realise the difficulty that this causes to our employees from outside of the region,” he said.
The €3m project, located on the left just inside the entrance to the 187-bedroom hotel, was completed by Kerry based firm Griffin Brothers Construction. Alongside the high-spec accommodation, the new staff facility boasts a host of facilities including a gym, WiFi, laundry facilities and parking, bicycle storage and extensive common areas.
