Killarney looking good for St Patrick’s Day
T
The theme of this year’s St Patrick’s Day parade will celebrate 60 years of the National Tidy Town’s Competition under the banner ‘Killarney You’re Looking Good’. Killarney has a huge tradition of participation in the Tidy Towns competition, winning the overall award in 2011 and maintaining its status as Gold Medal winner for each of the last 14 years.
So what is it that makes Killarney look so good? Is it just the tidy appearance of our town or is it the beauty of our natural environment, the National Park, the lakes and mountains?
Our streetscapes, our buildings, our history, our heritage, our people, our warmth and welcoming nature... ‘Killarney You’re Looking Good’ can be interpreted in many ways and this is where you come in.
Get your thinking caps on, open your minds and get the creative juices flowing. You have heard it said a million times and more, “There’s no place like Killarney”. Let’s illustrate that to the world by joining in on St Patrick’s Day, 2018. You are invited to interpret the theme with lots of colour and fun and in as open a way as you wish.
Application forms for the parade will be available in due course.
