Classrooms go high-tech
T
THE development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the classroom was highlighted to primary school principals in Killarney this week.
MEP Sean Kelly addressed the gathering at the forum, which took place in The Gleneagle Hotel on Wednesday and was entitled "Towards Distinction in the Integration of ICT into Teaching and Learning". The Education Centre, Dromtacker, Tralee, organised the event.
The Department of Education and Skills is seeking expressions of interest from schools to participate in a trial of this new framework. The framework is one of the key supports envisaged under the Digital Strategy for Schools.
