IF YOU dream of cycling the Ring of Kerry on a brand-new state-of-the-art bicycle, then Killarney Rugby Club's golf classic this Friday could offer you the perfect opportunity.
Not only is Killarney hosting the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle on Saturday and the Munster final on Sunday, but fans of the small ball will be well catered for by Killarney Rugby Club on Friday, at Mahony’s Point, Killarney Golf & Fishing Club. “Our hole-in-one competition on the picturesque 18th hole is back! The first player who strikes a hole-in-one will win a top-of-the-range bicycle from O’Sullivan’s Cycles worth up to €5,000!” said Liam Murphy of Killarney Rugby Club. “You could be cycling the Ring a few days later on this state-of-the-art bike!”
The Rugby Club has had a fantastic response from the business community and with over 40 teams of four taking part it promises to be a fun day out. “Great sponsors have supported the event from the off and with a mighty BBQ lunch midway through the golf, the back nine will be a formidable test!” said Liam.
The club thanked the many sponsors and supporters in establishing this event. “Fun for all those involved and who knows we may have a brand new cyclist in this year’s Ring of Kerry!” said Liam.
