Home game on Saturday night for undefeated St Paul’s women’s team

Utility Trust St Paul’s will be seeking to maintain their perfect 100% record when they host the Marble City Hawks at the Killarney Sports and Leisure Centre on Saturday. The game tips off at 7.30pm.
The Kilkenny outfit have endured a tough start to the 2023/24 National League season, losing four of their five matches, but they have some quality players including Briana Bailey, Faye McDonnell and Aoibhin Dunphy.
Paul’s will be favourites after their red-hot start to the new campaign. James Fleming’s side made it four wins from four with a comprehensive 37-point victory over the Limerick Sport Huskies in Limerick on Saturday last.
Fleming was able to give the returning Sofia Paska her second debut for the club and the returning All Star looked sharper than ever. Fellow new signing Khiarica Rasheed also excelled, hitting a game-high 27 points. Denise Dunlea and Lorraine Scanlon made impressive contributions, carrying on their form from recent matches with little fuss.
By game’s end St Pauls had built up a huge lead and they now find themselves top of the pile at this early stage of the season.
ST PAUL’S TEAM v LIMERICK SPORT HUSKIES: Khiarica Rasheed 27, Sofia Paska 18, Lorraine Scanlon 16, Denise Dunlea 8, Rheanne O’Shea 8, Meabh Barry 6, Liadh Tobin 4, Leah McMahon 3, Lynn Jones 2, Mary Kate Smith 2, Cliona Coffey, Niamh Ní Chonchúir.
