GETTING up close and personal with a whole host of critters is the challenge faced by 12 brave local personalities as a unique “I’m a Celeb…Get Me Out of Here!” challenge unfolds in Killarney next month.
The Stephen Lyne Foundation and Kerry Stars Special Olympics Club will stage the fundraiser on October 26, in conjunction with event sponsor Kerry Drain Services.
Michael Healy-Rae, TD, Brendan Fuller, Sean Taaffe, Rory D'Arcy, Sean Coffey, Emma Philips, Mags Harty, Ruth Allen, Gavin O’Leary, Enda Walshe, Mary Brosnan and Brendan Kealy are ready to hit the jungle for a series of “bush tucker” trials.
The Stephen Lyne Foundation was set up with the vision of teaching children the importance of empathy.
The Kerry Stars Special Olympics Club was formed in September 2002 by a group of local families.
