Visitor attractions to close due to storm
.
Killarney National Park, Killarney House and Gardens and Muckross House will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday) as a precaution as Storm Barra batters the county.
The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage strongly advises the public to refrain from visiting its site for the duration of the Red weather event, due to the sever risk associated with falling trees or potential damage from falling masonry or slates for buildings.
The Department says it will carry out a site inspection on Wednesday to assess any potential damage or risk to the public prior to reopening any of the above sites.
